“Development concerns not only man’s material needs, but also the improvement of social conditions of his life. Development is, therefore, not only economic growth but growth plus change-social, cultural and institutional as well as economic.”
Being active agents of social change is not only considered a strategic priority at RNSIT-MBA but is also seen as a much needed responsibility. Sensitization of students and staff is the key agenda behind any of our social initiatives and we are committed to being a socially responsible group of educational institutions.
The program is focussed to ensure a holistic development of a student through community service. We try each and every day to make a small difference which can in future bring about a greater change. This is a student administered initiative and is supported by the faculty. It is not just about helping the underprivileged or protecting the environment. It is more than that, where the students’ self-esteem rises and becomes more responsible and sensitive towards the society at large. Not only that, socially responsible people are in a position to make an impact in their own little ways which provides them with a purpose and self-fulfillment.
A feature that sets apart RNSIT-MBA from its contemporaries are the Mini Projects, that are instituted in between the working semesters to equip students with working on real time problems of both industry and society. Students take up socially relevant topics and pursue primary research in the same. The outcomes of the same have been far reaching and have helped the society and the department alike in securing funded projects from the government. Some of the noteworthy breakthroughs have been in the following areas of research by the students: Disability Hiring, Managing Senior citizens Abuse, Sustainable Cities, Women Empowerment in Indian Corporate Scenario, to name a few.
